Welcome to Fairview!

Attention: Garbage Pickup is changing to Tuesdays beginning in May!
We are located in southern Kenton County, primarily along state Route 177. The city was incorporated in 1957 to avoid annexation by Covington. Our city’s history is tied to the adjacent railroad, and the name “Fairview” was suggested by one of our residents.
The city of Fairview is zoned agricultural and has a population of under 200. We operate with a mayor/commissioner form of government. The city meeting is held at the city building on the second Tuesday of every month at 6:00 pm. We meet at the city building (8349 Decoursey Pike) in the heart of Fairview on Route 177.
All are welcome to attend the monthly city meetings! Meetings have resumed with a new start time of 6 PM.
The city has installed a new sign in front of the city building. We hope to share announcements and other messages of interest with our residents.
At the March 2026 meeting , the city passed an ordinance updating the current zoning ordinance to allow qualified manufactured homes.
The city of Fairview does not have an agreement with PDS for code enforcement. Any complaints against residents of the city should be put in writing and brought to the city meeting, identifing the property and the person filing the complaint. At that point the city will attempt to resolve the issue among the two parties.
Best Way will not be picking up items that are outside or alongside your can. Only items in the provided can be collected until further notice.
